SEMI (Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International) reported that in the second quarter of 2015, the worldwide semiconductor equipment billings totaled US$9.4 billion, down 1% sequentially and 2% year on year. By region, Taiwan registered the strongest sequential growth of 29%, reaching US$2.34 billion in the second quarter, followed by Korea's US$2.0 billion (-25% QoQ), North America's US$1.55 billion (5% QoQ), Japan's US$1.4 billion (12% QoQ), and China's US$1.04 billion (-10% QoQ). Meanwhile, the worldwide semiconductor equipment bookings reached $10.2 billion in the second quarter of 2015, up 6% sequentially and 2% year on year.
